Volume of Work: 2 Years Contract
Description: We are India (Delhi) based looking to outsource our requirement of Editing and Proofreading Service. We are looking for document editing service. The duration of the contract is 2 years with the possibility of further extension.
Scope:
1. Freelancing Editor / Company include editing text copy to make it completely flawless i.e., removing spelling mistakes, typographical and grammatical errors, inconsistencies, incongruity between text and the data in tables and graphs; re-write material whenever required for a better flow in reading -making the text more communicative, adhering to the house style; summarizing lengthy text; writing headlines and brief intros; writing the captions for pictures and ensure their relevance.
2. We will provide the text material. Develop a style to ensure consistency in hyphenation, capitalization, formatting of references etc.
3. Data contained in the document shall not be used for any kind of published material.
4. Make suitable arrangements for safe custody of material provided to him/her and shall handover them to us after completion of the work.
5. VOLUME: No guaranteed any fixed amount of work. Right to give jobs to any Freelancing Editor / Company on the basis of the approved rates is solely reserved with the Tendering Authority
6. ADDITIONS AND CORRECTIONS: The job assigned to the Freelancing Editors / Companies will have to be executed within the stipulated time. Even after the base material is delivered for the job, there may be occasions involving last minute minor changes, additions and corrections of essential nature. When such an occasion arises, they must be ready to accommodate the necessary changes without any extra charges.
7. CANCELLATION OF THE WORK:
a. We reserve the right to cancel the work order / reject the material produced, in case of undue delay, unsatisfactory production or low quality editing work.
b. The Judgement / Analysis / Evaluation of the edited work will be done by us and will be considered final. No payment will be given for the work not approved by us.
c. The copy material and any related material produced will become the sole property of ours once the final production is complete. The Freelancing Editors / Companies will have no right to own or retain or make use of the material or part of it in their custody.
8. Providers will have to indicate in their proposals, the activities they wish to apply for i.e. Editing Services in English / Hindi or Both.
This is an on shore and off site tender. Interested service providers are requested to contact no later than July, 12, 2010, 3:00 PM by courier, post or email. Service providers may have to visit our premises for meetings or briefings. Please refer the attachment for more details.
